Now that the holidays are over and life is winding down around here, I have started to get excited about "making things" again! Here are three crafty goals I have been thinking about.
GOAL #1: Work on Project Life. This includes the little 4x6 card that you see at the beginning of this post. A goal of mine is to make one of these for each month that has 5 goals I want to work on. These are not necessarily craft related!
This month's goals are: Use my typewriter. Use my sewing machine (more on this in a minute!) Take photos of Me & Matt. Drink coffee slower. Try to stick closely to Whole 30 (The Paleo diet.)
I am working on making my own Project Life kit this year, starting with some 4x6 cards that I cut from some favorite pattern papers. I will also be using bits & pieces of the Seafoam kit (as I am sharing it with Renae...yay!) and Clementine kit from last year.
GOAL #2: Break out that Sewing Machine! My brand new machine has sat idle ever since I made those Christmas stockings. I was using the pre-threaded bobbin. My plan is to take a beginner sewing class at a local sewing store where I got my machine. Then I will be able to thread my own bobbin.
An unofficial goal that I have is to use my sewing maching on 12 projects this year. That is only one per month, and totally attainable, I believe.
GOAL #3: Keep track of my work outs using washi tape. I am so excited about this one! I have always enjoyed keeping track of things in a fun, visual way. A couple of years ago I used gold star stickers to reward myself for healthy milestones, and this year I'm using washi tape.
Each color means a little different type of work out: Running, walking, spinning and weights.
I am excited to share my goals here and hope to check in with some updates in the following months!
