Hey guys! I'm back with a super fun and easy summer craft for you today! I love having pictures up around my house. Between that and plants, I've pretty much got the whole thing covered. When we moved in last fall, that picture of us was one of the first things I put up and it's been on that shelf ever since. I love seeing that reminder of happy times every time I walk out the door.
Since it kept getting knocked off, I decided I'd make it a little holder. Then it looked a little lonely, so I made a second one and popped in a picture of my Grandma's backyard. Voila! Love it.
I used some seaglass I had lying around and a rock from my Grandma's backyard. But I think it would also be really fun to go collect rocks at the beach and then display fun beach pictures on them. Or you could also use shells or driftwood to add to the beachy vibe if you can't find any seaglass.
All you need for this quick craft is some rocks or seaglass, 20 gauge galvanized steel wire and wire cutters. Make a little stack of rocks or seaglass and wrap the wire around it securely. What worked the best for me was wrapping the wire around the glass as if I was wrapping a ribbon around a package. Once the wire is wrapped securely, bend the long end so its sticking straight up, clip the wire giving yourself an 5 or 6 inches to work with (depending on how tall you want it to be). Then curl the end tightly around a marker several times. Make sure you tuck the pointy ends in between the rocks or clip them close. Tuck your picture in and display it somewhere!
