Sorry I've been MIA lately, life has been a little bit crazy recently. I'm excited to get back to flowers and blogging though, so stay tuned!
Today I'm sharing a wedding I did flowers for about one year ago. Anna, a nurse who works at the hospital with me, married the love of her life, Austin, last January at a beautiful church here in town. Her colors were pink and grey, and we added some darker purples, reds and greens to her bouquets that I loved!
Today I'm sharing Dianna and Phillip's lovely DIY summer wedding. They got married in June of 2012 at The Yellow House of Willowdale, a fabulous venue in Pennsylvania. Their wedding was full of DIY, and they poured their hearts and souls into the wedding planning, and you can tell! The amazing DIY's include some of my favorites; typewriter font, polka dots, cowboy boots... Phillip even brewed his own beer! Check it out!

So those of you who know me, know that I got married twice... To the same amazing guy. We had a 'planned elopement' (whatever that means) in August of 2012, due to life reasons. Nate married me then knowing he wasn't getting out of a 'big wedding' or, a 'show' as he called it. We did that the following July, you can see photos here. Today I wanted to share photos from our 'first' wedding, photographed by the lovely Sarah from Park Road Photography.
I love everything about this amazing day. The chance to get married at grandmas, where I'd always dreamed. The intimacy of it just being our immediate family. The butterflies. The jumping right in to marriage with my best friend and not really thinking twice. But being so at peace with it all. The tears of joy. And that amazing peanut butter chocolate cheesecake my sister made. I wouldn't change it for the world!
Julia and James got married on this lovely ranch in Santa Margarita, complete with amazing florals and snow cones! You can't get much better than that! From the different colored bridesmaid dresses, to the lollipop seating chart, I'm in love with this whole wedding! And how about those cute little honey favors?Take a look:

I discovered Jose Villa's photography the other day, and I'm drooling over his photos! This wedding in particular was styled so beautifully, and the photos are amazing! Sierra and Chase got married at the Sunstone Winery in California. How amazing are these florals!?
How fabulous is this wedding cake!? It's probably one of my favorites that I've seen... I love how they incorporated the peaches!

One of the weddings I did flowers for this summer was for a good friend Julie and her husband Kevin! Their gorgeous ceremony and reception were at Commellini's; its history and awesome setting made the perfect location for Julie and Kevin's wedding! Today I'm sharing some photos of the flowers...
Julie wanted blue incorporated in her bouquet. I used bachelor buttons that she grew at her house, and added blue thistle, montecasino, and blue cornflowers. I also added silver brunia, hypericum berries, scabiosa pods, off-white roses, diosma and eucalyptus to give the bouquets the natural, rustic look she wanted. I love how they turned out!
I wrapped all the bouquets with birch bark that Kevin and Julie got from the trees on their property. Kevin drilled holes in three pennies with the years of their birthday's and the year their relationship began, and I tied them around Julie's bouquet with twine.
For the boutonierres I put together pinecones with evergreen sprigs. I wrapped Kevin's with the birch bark I used for Julie's bouquet. Take a look:

This past August, I had the chance to do the flowers and coordinate my friend Jenny's wedding! She is probably the easiest bride I've ever worked with; so down to earth and laid back! And it showed on her wedding day! Such a fun wedding!
Jenny wanted simple Hydrangea bouquets, with a wildflower look for her centerpieces. She collected tons of old bottles before the wedding to arrange the flowers in, and I love how they turned out!
Jenny had photos of Simons dad, who had passed away the year before, and two of their grandparents who had also passed in these mini vintage frames. We tied them around her bouquet so they could be with her and Simon on their special day.
Jenny had the most beautiful, sweet group of girls! I love the colors of those dresses!
