This was a fairly easy but mildly time consuming project that I came up with for my friend Ellen's recent birthday. I know she likes pink so I decided to go with a pink color scheme. I don't know where the idea came from - I've been loving triangles and ombre recently and this idea just popped into my head one day. I took three hangers and bent them into triangle shapes with loops on top. Then I crocheted around each one and tied the triangles together.
The three postcards came in a set of five that I got from LupenGrainne's shop on Etsy. The set is called 'Sunshiney Day'. When I saw the set, it immeditely reminded me of Ellen and I knew I had to include it with the inspiration board that I made her. The fun part was accesorizing it for some pictures before giving it to her! The last three pictures are other ways I thought you could use it to keep inspiration close at hand. 1st idea: stamp images on kraft paper. I've always loved kraft paper, you could do this with new stamps or old ones that you want to remember to use again or just as a cute graphic. 2nd photo: fabric swatches on manilla tags, I've seen this on the blogsphere on key rings but hanging them up for all to see is cute too!
3rd photo: Mini-clothespins - I used these to hang everything and I painted them white but leaving the wood exposed could look cool too. And self explanatory - hang up things that make you happy, whether thats pictures of friends, cute postcards, scraps of pretty paper, your imagination is the limit!
