On Sunday I was thrilled to throw a tea party/baby shower for one of my best friends. The best part was that it was a surprise!! She knew it was a tea party, but had no idea that we would be using it as a baby shower for her little boy...who is due in just two short weeks. Yay! Well, I better start posting some photos, eh?
We bought the key lime tart at Whole Foods, which turned out amazing!! I also got the shortbread cookies there too...they were lemon and lavender.
I made some cucumber tea sandwiches which were super simple! I used fresh white bread (crusts cut off), cucumber, cream cheese and dill.
Here are a few other photos from the party!
My super creative friend Aileen brought this present for Ellen, so I just had to take a photo. This girl is so inspiring. You can find her blog here.
I set up a quick little beverage station for water as well. I just loved putting glitter all over that glass mug! I used washi tape to mask the glass and then I used mod podge to adhere the glitter. Then, of course, I embellished the grey straws with lots of different colors of washi tape. A cute, quick craft! You may have seen some in-progress photos in this post.
Here is the whole group, all crowding into my tiny little condo. We all had a pretty good time, I think. And baby boy got some really cute clothes to add to his little wardrobe!
