Hi, It's Jenn here, and I was so inspired by Renae's 30 before 30 post, that I decided to dig mine up from my old blog. Renae and I wrote these together about a year ago. Surprisingly, I have actually accomplished a few things on the list! Where it applies, I have linked back to this blog or my old blog so you can see evidence of my accomplishments. :)
Here goes:
1) Visit all the Counties in Washington It may sound crazy but I really want to thoroughly explore my own state. I only have a couple counties left to visit. I've never been to Walla Walla! Maybe this summer we can go there for wine tasting!
2) Learn to speak Spanish better
3) Try Paddle boarding in Green Lake No pictures were taken, but it totally happened. :)
4) Go to Europe Heck Yes, I did! See my photos from Paris here.
5) Master Manual Mode I use manual mode all the time now. I cannot say that I am a "master" but I'm happy with my progress.
6) Have a Baby
7) Take a photo in a European photo booth
8) Go unplugged for a week Three days in Cinque Terre...if I can't accomplish this, I will count that :)
9) Take an art or photograph class
10) Run a Marathon I remember writing this on the list and being so mad at myself for it. Then after my miscarriage in March of 2012 I was not supposed to start trying again for three months. So I decided it was the perfect length of time to train for a marathon. Best decision of my life. See the evidence here. :)
11) Take photobooth photos with Matt
12) Finish Reading the Bible
13) Paint Pottery
14) Mini Sprint Triathlon See the evidence here!
15) Write a blog Working in it....:)
16) Make a chalkboard See the evidence here!
17) Make Paleo cupcakes Do Paleo Muffins count? I have also made Paleo cake.
18) Go to a Tropical Place We have a plan for Cabo in the Spring. Woo hoo!
19) Learn to really swim I took swim lessons this summer so I could swim in my triathlon
20) Find the perfect little black dress
21) Stay on top of Health & Nutrition Always a work in progress
22) Organize my closets Done! Worked on this with Mom last February. She's going to come back soon and help me again! Turns out I may need this done a couple times before I'm 30. :)
23) Go to New York
24) Ride my bike around Mercer Island
25) Draw more, doodle more, sketch more
26) Put my toe in the Atlantic Ocean
27) Get a sewing machine Done! So happy about this.
28) Perfect my handwriting
29) Decorate my house comfortably. Changed from "Paint my Kitchen." Turns out I really can't do that right now. My main goal is to work on tweaking the decor in my place until it's something I love.
30) Have a picnic with Matt
There you go! My 30 before 30 list. Kudos to you if you made it to the end. I'm glad I have this all written down in a brand new spot. Then it will be easy to come back to. I have less than three years now to accomplish these goals. :)
