Designer clothespins... washi clothespins... or hey, how about, super duper cute mini clothespins. I see cute clothespins all over the scrapbooking and crafting world these days. And they are super easy to make yourself, honestly, it feels a little bit like cheating to even call this a craft. It's so easy a 2nd grader with a pair of blunt scissors could probably pull it off. But sometimes easy crafts are the best - talk about instant gratification, right?
Supplies needed - washi tape, scissors, and mini clothespins.
After making chicken wire frames the other day, my sister had the idea to make washi covered clothespins to go with them. All you do is cut a strip of tape off, adhere it to the flat side of the clothespin, trim off the excess and voile, you're done. (If you are feeling type A (like I was) you can slip the metal spring off and put the tape across the flat top and down through the grove on each side and then slide the spring back on.) My washi tape was the perfect size, when cut in half, it covered both sides of the clothespin - no excess to waste!
And in the way of news, I was super excited to see that I was featured on Country Magazine's "Flea Market Haul" blog yesterday! It's not a big deal but it's still seems a little crazy seeing my instagram on there.
