This weeks photo prompt is books. Hopefully I won't embarrass anyone by saying we were all bookworms back in the day. I used to read a ton when I was a kid, my family would go to the library pretty frequently and check out books by the basketful (no joke). When I started college, I stopped reading for fun and it's only recently that I've started reading for fun again.
You can see my current reads below, I'm hoping to finish "Blog, Inc" soon. I just got the middle two recently. "Making A House Your Home" is full of beautiful pictures and good home decor info. I'm also hoping to make some projects from "Bring the Outdoors In" soon. And my Design*Sponge book has been collecting dust for too long, so I added it to the stack!
Sarah's Photo - My photo this week is of my 'library' downstairs. Its where all my books in the house live, from my cookbooks to our Bibles. Theres a lot of meaningful objects on these shelves, like that Snow White book I used to love to read out at Leona when Grandma was alive.
Jenn's Photo - Sometimes I feel like the books I read really define my life for a certain amount of time. An example is Born to Run, one of my old favorites from 2010 that inspired my crazy chia seed consuption and barefoot running obsession. Another is Marathon Woman, an awesome read that I finished last year after running my first marathon. Right now the things I read all have to do with babies. Of course! I tend to sneak into Barnes & Noble and read pages of certain baby books that I am too cheap to buy! But the book that I tend to read right now at home is none other than the usual "What to Expect" book. Sometimes I'm not sure why...who wants to know about stretch marks and swollen ankles, right? Also in the photo below you will see Matt's favorite books. This "Supple Leopard" book is all he can talk about.
This week we also thought it would be fun to invite all our readers to play along with Photo Friday. Take a picture of your current read or some fun books and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #photofridaywithleonalane. We'll take a look through them and post some of our favorites here on Saturday!
