Last Saturday I had the pleasure of going to the Farm Chicks Show in Spokane with my good friend Amy. It's always the first weekend in June at the Spokane Fairgrounds. If you're a local and you've never been, it's worth putting on your calendar for next year! I always find some fantastic stuff and it's so fun to go look at all the amazing booths - there are some seriously talented people there! It can almost be a little overwhelming in the awesome department but we both left feeling inspired! Below are a few pictures of the show that I snapped with my iPhone.
I love that mint green station wagon on the upper left, it reminds me of so many camping trips with our trusty old station wagon as a kid. That light blue shelf on the upper right would have been so perfect for craft supplies... I loved the coffee tin turned succulant planter on the bottom left, I made one just like it a few weeks ago! I also loved that stack of suitcases on the bottom right, perfect for an end table with built in storage!
Since we're in between places right now, I somehow refrained from getting too much stuff. I did score a stepladder, a retro salt & pepper shaker, some tin spice containers and a lard bucket. I love it when you find something you've been looking for forever! ...especially if it's a great deal too!
My finds always tend to move around a bit. Right now, I'm using the lard bucket as a planter and the stepladder has already come in handy. I'm planning on turning the spice containers into magnets to hold pens and pencils. The salt & pepper shakers are my first official purchase for my dream camper. (Joe and I are talking about getting a Scamp Trailer someday, you can see all my inspiration here).
So I think between the coffee tin turned planter and soon to be magnets, I can officially cross "make something with vintage tins" off my 30 Before 30 List!
Has anyone else had good luck with fun finds recently? Any other Farm Chicks fans out there?
