When we hosted our giveaway last month, we were surprised to hear that some of you like seeing our Project Life posts. So we thought we'd share those a little more often here on the blog. Jenn will be sharing some peeks of hers this afternoon too!
Since I got my photo printer last month, I really started gaining steam on Project Life again! Which is great, because I love Project Life! Which is somewhat hilarious since I was so slow to get on that bandwagon - I really wanted to make sure it was something that would work for me. I've also got my desk all set up and organized now, which is so much easier than working out of boxes :)
This layout is about the first week of June. I've been organizing my weeks Monday-Sunday this year and find I like that better. I'm using the Seafoam Edition. I use primarily StazOn ink in teal and black. Occasionally I'll add scrapbooking paper like the little journaling card below. Other than that I just add in photos and little paper bits, with a splash of doodling. Here's some more close up pictures...
This week I used my Elise Joy His & Hers stamps (above). I've also been trying something different for the documentation. At the beginning of the week I put a blank grid card in my typewriter. Throughout the week, I add highlights to the card and then slip it into a pocket at the end of the week.
Sometimes it's a little tricky fitting instagrams in, they just don't look right cropped small or don't fill the rectangular pockets quite right. I love this "trick" I learned from Jenn (above). Print the instagram like a 4x6 photo with white space on the side. Wrap a piece of washi tape around the edge, then journal in the remaining blank space! This was one of those "why-didn't-I-think-of-that?" moments for me.
Questions about Project Life? You can check out Becky Higgins site, the founder of Project Life, here. Also you can check out Elise Blaha Cripe's blog and her Project Life posts here. I love the her style, she is huge inspiration for me ... and of course she is also the Seafoam Kit designer :) If you have any questions for me, feel free to leave them in the comments!
