This week's photo friday challenge is "leaves" since Sarah and I are both in the fall spirit! I love watching the leaves turn bright! They're so pretty in all their brillant fall colors! I pulled out Joe's Fuji X-Pro1 and took it on a walk today to try a catch some of the lovely colors.
The leaves here in Seattle are just barely starting to change colors. And as all my friends keep lovingly reminding me, it's still summer here. The official last day of summer is September 21st, so I'm planning to check off the last thing on my summer-to-do-list this weekend, make ice cream! ... and then curl up under a thick blanket and eat it in front of the fireplace. And after getting that checked off the list, I am so totally ready for fall to officially start!

I tried so so hard to find some real leaves.. But the only pretty fall colored leaves I could find were the ones from my recent front porch decoration. And yes. They're fake. I can't wait for the green leaves around here to turn colors tho! I love that part of fall!
