Two months into this motherhood journey, I've got myself quite the cutie! She melts our hearts with her adorable smile, which stretches from ear to ear. Although she doesn't quite grab toys yet, she does love to play with her hands and has even sucked her thumb a few times. So cute! Her feet are always in motion, kicking quite aggressively. I think we have a future runner or bicycler living in our house!
Life with Lucy has started to get a little easier. She is sleeping six to seven hours straight, and goes to sleep pretty easily at night, with a little help from her Dad. He is the best at putting her to sleep. Lately when she wakes up around 4 am she smiles and wants to play! Its been hard to leave her in her crib as she jabbers away, but I'm trying to train her that the night is the night. So no talking and laughing at 4 am.
Her beautiful smiles and animated cooing has come with a bit of a price. She gets pretty fussy in the evening times, and if she gets overstimulated she just screams!! It's so hard for me when she cries. Moms are wired to rescue and soothe their crying babies, and so it's really hard for me to listen to. I just hold her tight and rock her and she stops after a few minutes.
We just love our little girl. It's hard to believe how much we love her. :)
