I put together a little photo shoot for Lucy's three month birthday. She was super cute of course, but refused to smile except for this one moment. And of course there is a kitty paw in the frame! I decided not to let this get me down too much. After all, this is real life, right? Not a professional shoot.
I also thought this one was pretty cute. I love the kicking leg:
At three months:
-Lucy is sleeping through the night! This happened about a week and a half ago, and every night we are still nervous that she will wake up! So far she has been sleeping 8-10 hours straight. What a miracle! It seems that swaddling her again did the trick. We also keep her room nice and warm.
-She loves to carry on long "conversations" with Mom & Dad.
-She has very recently been enjoying longer playtimes on the floor by herself. She loves her little play mat and stares and bats at the toys that dangle from it. She can grab toys now!
-Enjoys bathtime so much that she always cries when we take her out.
-She smiles so widely that it takes over her whole face. She even smiles when she nurses, so she gets distracted and stops eating.
-She is my star cat-napper. She is also a night owl. And I do NOT have her on a schedule. The more I try to schedule my daughter, the less regular her routine becomes. So I just enjoy this little girl no matter what crazy things she does.
-She can support her head now, and loves to sit up and look around (with a little support.) My gal has rock solid abs already!! Tummy time is still a little challenging, but it's improving.
Overall this little lady is awesome. She is a lot of work and takes a ton of my time, but I love every minute that I get to spend with her. When I'm at work I miss her so much! She is such a joy to be around. I love that she changes daily, and I can't wait to see what's next!
