I have mentioned this on the blog a few times...we just recently had our first professional photos taken of our family! A new friend of ours, Corlana, was kind enough to spend a Sunday evening with us in March. She shared lots of them on her blog a few weeks ago, but I wanted to show you guys a few favorites. I thought this would be a good time to share a new He + She + Me post. (My last one was in November.) Here goes!
He: Told me yesterday that he loves Lucy so much and is so glad he has a baby girl.
-Has started training for an olympic triathlon in July and often rides his bike on the trainer in our bedroom. He also goes to the gym and swims often.
-Loves our new vitamix and is still obcessed with bulletproof coffee
-Drinks Dasani sparkling water like it is going out of style.
She: Loves to ride on Dad's shoulders and giggles at the cat.
-Is getting more active! Grabs anything and everything and tries to dive out of our arms so she can play on the floor. I swear this girl will not walk, she will run.
-Startied sleeping through the night the past week...all the way until 7 am or later! This is a dream come true! Yet when I wake in the morning (by the cat, usually) I lay in bed and miss her.
Me: I'm finally getting to the point that I'm relaxing into this Mom gig. I'm figuring out how to balance a busy job and a busy life at home as Lucy's mom. It isn't easy, but it's getting better every day.
-I am getting back into running and really enjoying training for the half marathon in June with several friends from work. Having people keep me accountable is awesome!
-I'm eating vegetables again for the first time since pregnancy! I've been making smoothies with blueberries, banana and various green veggies, which really makes them palatable.
We: Are loving life right now! We all love that the weather is changing. Summer is coming! We are so excited to have a lot of fun this summer as a family of three. We have Lucy's first camping trip planned at the end of May, and we have a week off in September to vacation as well. This is my favorite season, and I know that having a baby girl will make this summer even more fun.
