Hey everyone! I know its been awhile since I've written here, but today I wanted to share a recent Project Life page. This spread is from last week, which covers May 4-10. Basically I am still caught up! I try to keep everything very easy and basic, otherwise I don't think I'd be able to stay up to date.
This week was pretty jam packed for me! It started with a 12k race in Spokane. Bloomsday! I run every year (even when pregnant, ha!) I have always been a big collector of race bibs, and usually include the whole thing in my album. This year I decided to cut mine up, and you can see it in bright yellow above.
On this first half you will see mostly photos and a couple areas where I added a few words about the week. I find that photos pretty much say it all...but it's nice to write things down for context. You may think that you will remember everything, but even after a few years, the details get forgotten!
Here is the other half of that spread. There was a lot going on this week, so I added a few photos in the center as an insert. I love these page protectors which allow for 6 instagram photos and some 3x4 pockets for journaling cards. Perfect for a photo-heavy week! My page protector ripped a bit on the edge, so you may notice that I repaired it with a bit of washi tape. I used 4 different colors to add some fun detail to the page. (Washi tape is the easiest form of decoration. No adhesive required!)
On the right side there are lots of every day type photos. I have been trying to capture a bit more of every day life with my big camera. My every day life always includes lots of Lucy and of course some baby dishes (pump stuff, yuck) and this week a shot of our artisan coffee that we've been drinking. A couple years back, the Project Life kits came with everything you would need for a whole album. These number stickers were included. I haven't used them very often until recently, but they are great for numbering your photos and then adding journaling in a separate area.
What a wonderful, crazy week! Life is super busy, but good. I really love this project for documenting our lives! I love to "scrapbook" too, but I'm always running out of time. So this a perfect solution for now.
