I had a lot of fun this weekend whipping up this quick craft. I actually recieved most of these products in my Studio Calico scrapbook kit. I haven't been scrapbooking lately, so I was excited to get a chance put this kit to use for this project.
Materials: (June Scrapbook kit)
-Various foam stamps
-Two colors of paint & a paintprush
-thin wood slices (similar on Amazon)
This project is seriously so, so simple! I used a paintbrush to paint my stamps before stamping them on the wood slice. I stamped a few times on white paper to practice and see what the finished product would look like. One thing I love about foam stamps is that the coverage is pretty even, but the paint definitely gets a little thicker around the edges. I personally love that look! I stamped two images onto each wood circle, each with a different color. I experimented a bit, and actually turned a couple of them over and stamped again on the opposite side. Then I chose my favorite side to be the top, and glued my magnet onto the back. I recommend a really strong glue, like diamond glaze.
I was excited to recieve foam stamps in my kit this month because I did not have any of those my my stash. I want to mention that if you don't have any foam stamps, you can actually make your own very easily! All you need is craft foam, and a good pair of scissors. Cut out your shape, and then glue to another peice of foam to stiffen it out, and voila! Your own stamp.
This was a fun and easy project that probably took only five to ten minutes. I was having so much fun that I wished it would have taken longer! It was fun to get my hands dirty with paint and stamps again. Hope you all have a fun and crafty week!
