Burlap and Sunflowers

Fall is here! I've enjoyed a salted caramel mocha from Starbucks, lit my Leaves candles, and went to the library to stock up on cool weather reading! I thought I'd share my fall decoration ideas for this season! 

As you probably know, I love Hobby Lobby! All their fall items are 40% off right now, so I bought some really cute stuff for the front porch! I got a few straw bales, wrapped some fake leaf garlands around them, and added those cute (fake) pumpkins and sunflowers. I LOVE those burlap sunflowers! And my favorite part: I can use all these next year! :) Yeah. I'm cheap / lame like that!

I added my 'FALL' wreath to the front door, and now our little house is in the Autumn spirit just like I am!

Free Verse Printable

Today I wanted to share this print that I made with you guys. I've been working on some hand writing projects this week, and was excited when my mother-in-law asked me to write this verse out to finish a project she was making. She had dried and pressed two different kinds of flowers and wanted to frame them with this verse for a friend of hers. 

Sorry, I'm not sure exactly how big it will print out with good clarity. But you could definitely print it out to put in a project life layout or as a smaller print to add to a frame wall. To print it, click on the photo to make it bigger. Then right click on it and click on 'save image as' - save it somewhere you can find it again, then print it!

Inspired by Scabiosa Pods

As some of you may know, I recently started my own little flower business, Sarah's Flowers! I was prompted by my own wedding this summer, as well as the weddings of four other friends, and Sarah's Flowers was created. Its been really fun, a way for me to be really creative outside of work! I'm going to start doing occasional flower posts dedicated to a specific type of flower, to help my creativity! We'll call them 'inspired by' flower posts. 

Today's post is all about Scabiosa Pods. They're also known as the pincushion flower, they're little brown-green balls of wonderfulness! I seriously think they're my new favorite thing! I love the organic, textured look they add to a floral arrangement! Take a look:

The combination of those callas, succulents, roses and scabiosa is just amazing, don't you think?

I love this look of a scabiosa boutonniere! I actually used them for the boutonniere's for our wedding, but I don't have the photos back yet! I'll be sure to share when I do!
