Finally! My air plant container...

I've been trying to find my perfect air planter for a couple weeks now, and I finally found one that Nate and I both like! This simple square vase was in the spring decor section at Hobby Lobby, and it is our new dining room table centerpiece! I think Nate's also glad these little guys finally have a home other than in a pile on the kitchen windowsill! He still thinks air plants look like aliens, but says they look sort of manly in their new home. Glad he approves ;)

Ways to fill a gallery wall

Last week I made our living room wall into a gallery wall. Its something I've been wanting to do, I've been collecting frames and ideas. Today, since my gallery wall frames are still half empty, I'm sharing a few ideas I've found around the web to fill them. I'm still undecided... Here's a little iphone photo of my wall thus far... 

So as you can see... there's lots of empty spaces. I did put up some printables from this post, and I love Renae's idea from this post about wallflower displays. Here are just a couple more unique ideas I've seen to fill gallery walls!

I think this idea, of painting ceiling rosettes the same color and hanging them is kind of cool. I don't have any more room on my wall... but its always an idea!

Painting all your frames white and arranging them on a white wall, with nothing in them? I am loooving this look. So simple... but an awesome statement. 

I really like the way washi tape looks to hold photos on a wall... I'm thinking about filling that empty gray photo on the right of my wall with photos and washi tape. The only thing is... I feel like they won't stick very long? Any ideas? Our good friend Aileen from At Home In Love has a frame on her living room wall with this idea, I think thats where I first saw it? I love how it looks!

Air Plant Ideas

I recently jumped on the air plant bandwagon... I know Renae discovered these babies a long time ago, you can see her success on Instagram with the hashtag #iwillkeeptheseplantsalive. So, being always one or two steps behind everyone else, finally took the plunge and bought a few off Amazon! I didn't even know they sold plants! Ha!

So now I have seven of these little guys... And there's so many options. I'm going to share a few that I found and love. I love the look of indiviual little holders for air plants. You can find these stained glass handmade holders here and that adorable owl idea here. 

This super easy magnet terrarium DIY would be a neat addition to any fridge! I just might have to go make one. 

Another fun way to display your air plants would be vertically, in a tall vase like this. Or if you have leftover wine corks, drill a little hole and add a magnet! So easy!

I think this air plant wall is so rad! And how about that window!? Amazing. 

Flora Grubb Gardens also blogged about this vertical air plant garden. That could be a DIY project for hubby, yes?  :)

And of course, since I recently started my own wedding flower business... I had to include these air plant boutonnieres and wedding favors! dying of cuteness!!!!

lovely little things | february

I know February is almost over, but I wanted to share some things that I've been loving that make me smile, and brighten my day! Since its been blustery outside, I'm thankful for things like OPI's new Brazil nail polish, that adds a little brightness.

1: gallery walls- I recently made my own (I'll share soon) and I'm so thankful for Pinterest inspiration!

2. chevron rug- this steal from Hobby Lobby was the perfect addition to our bedroom!

3. OPI Live.Love.Carnaval- so much fun. add a little sparkle = magic!

4. ampersand pillows 

5. apples with almond butter- I'm trying to eat healthier, and this has been my favorite go-to snack lately.

6. happy mail day stamp- this adorable little guy is now on my wishlist. How fun would it be to open that mail!?

7. air plants!!!!- I just bought some off Amazon, and I'm in love.

Some Gallery Wall (Free!!) Printables

I've been working (slowly) on a gallery wall to switch out the big canvas photo in our living room. Today I was trying to find some quotes and phrases that I loved, and I made a few printables. I thought I'd share some of them here; since they're great even as 4x6's to post on a fridge or in a little frame somewhere! Hope you enjoy!
